Ben R. Butler
Ben founded Public Properties in 1995 pursuant to an assignment at the General Services Administration, National Capital Region, supporting the leasing and procurement of special projects for agency customers. Ben drives the day-to-day operations of the firm in Washington, DC, and New Orleans, with a particular focus on third party client relations and development, partnering opportunities, government affairs and developing complimentary business lines for client growth. Ben also oversees existing firm business to include agency and private sector clients.
Ben received a Bachelor of Science in General Business Administration from Louisiana State University and a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Johns Hopkins University.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Ben dedicates his time to nonprofits, providing education and community services. Additionally, he actively supports veteran causes and cancer-related initiatives, showcasing his commitment to impactful philanthropy.

Bradford L. Seifert

A tenured leader in the government real estate sector, Brad manages the firm’s transactions,client relations and staff. His technical and financial expertise ensures successful implementation, negotiation and management of lease projects nationwide, from land acquisition to lease occupancy.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Science from Denison University and a Masters in Real Estate Development from Georgetown University.

With over a decade of experience working in finance and management, Scott is responsible for the financial and risk management operations at Public Properties. Scott holds a BSM from Tulane University, A.B. Freeman School of Business, and received an Energy Specialization through the MBA program at Tulane University.
Beyond his professional role, Scott actively engages with the community, notably serving on the Stuart Hall School for Boys board and contributing to the Facilities (Chair), Finance, and Development Committees. With over 25 years of commercial real estate experience, Ed manages a portfolio of full lease transactions from requirements development through post award for agency clients. He oversees an experienced acquisition team facilitating federal procurements for VA and GSA ranging in size from 3,000 SF to 200,000 SF throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Ed received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Ohio Wesleyan University.

Kristen Paredes

With more than 13 years of commercial real estate experience, Kristen focuses exclusively on post lease award government construction, including major build-to-suit projects, on behalf of federal agencies. She currently manages the firm’s GSA high value post award construction projects. Kristen works extensively with numerous federal agencies including GSA, Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Secrete Service (USSS), and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Kristen received a Bachelor of Science from Radford University and is currently pursuing her Property Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Ingrid Newman

With 11 years of Project Management and Corporate Real Estate experience, Ingrid focuses exclusively on managing the firm’s post lease award construction projects for Federal Agencies. Ingrid has worked with several federal agencies including GSA, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), US Secret Service (USSS), US Citizen and Immigration Services (CIS), US Marshals Service (USMS), US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and US Department of Agriculture (USDA). Ingrid’s experience includes the construction of office, laboratory, and manufacturing facilities for the healthcare industry.
Ingrid received her MBA from Nova Southeastern University in Florida and holds an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering. She is a certified Project Manager (PMP) and holds the Masters in Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation from CoreNet Global. Ingrid speaks Spanish, French, and Italian, and has used her project management and language skills in assisting corporations.

With over 15 years of project management experience, Brian focuses on post-lease award government construction, working with GSA to serve their diverse agencies. Brian has project management experience across the construction industry, from working with a large general contractor to working as a federal contractor for the Department of Justice (DOJ). He also spent several years working as an owner's representative in the healthcare industry, managing office builds, clinic builds, and complex hospital renovations.

Bennett joined Public Properties as an Intern in 2023. He is currently a Junior at Auburn University pursuing a Management degree through the Harbert College of Business. Bennett grew up in Jackson, MS, and Birmingham, AL. He played college football as a quarterback for the University of Southern Mississippi and Moorpark College in Los Angeles, CA. With prior course study in Building Science, Bennett will be supporting our project management as well as leasing teams.
